Facade Improvements
Looking to enhance the exterior of your building in downtown Terrace?

The Business Façade Improvement Program (BFI) provides reimbursement funding to help property and business owners improve their building façades within the Terrace Downtown Improvement Area (TDIA) boundary.
​
Funding is administered by the City of Terrace and Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT). TDIA supports downtown members and businesses by helping them access the program and submitting completed applications through the process.
​
Grant amount: Up to $5,000 (maximum 50% of eligible project costs; minimum total project cost $2,000).
Downtown Events
The TDIA Events Grant supports events and activations that help create a vibrant, welcoming, and active downtown Terrace. Funding is available for eligible event-related costs for initiatives taking place within the TDIA area that bring people together, encourage community connection, and increase activity in the downtown.

This grant is open to TDIA members.
If the applicant is not a TDIA member, a current TDIA member must act as the lead applicant and primary coordinator for the funding request.


Landscaping Grant

The TDIA Landscaping Improvements Grant supports businesses and property owners in improving the exterior appearance of commercial properties within the downtown area.
​
This grant is intended to encourage small-scale beautification projects that contribute to a more welcoming, vibrant, and attractive downtown. Eligible projects may include items such as hanging baskets, planters, window boxes, pathway enhancements, and decorative lighting.

Approved applicants may receive a matching grant of up to $1,000, subject to available program funding.
​
Approved funding is issued as a reimbursement upon project completion and submission of receipts.
Marketing grant
The TDIA Marketing Grant supports collaborative marketing initiatives that promote three or more downtown businesses and help increase awareness, engagement, and activity within the Terrace Downtown Improvement Area.

Matching grants of up to $1,500 are available for eligible campaigns.
