Grants
The TDIA offers a variety of ongoing grants to help create a vibrant community.

Downtown Facade Grant
The TDIA and The City of Terrace have again partnered to bring Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT) funding to Terrace’s downtown. NDIT provides matching grants to property and business owners for up to $5,000 to improve the facade of your buildings or business.
In our 2022 intake this grant stream supported the exterior renovation of the former All Seasons Source for Sports building on the corner of Kalum St. and Lakelse Ave., the exterior repainting and facade improvements to the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce building and the mural installations on the Happy Gang Centre building. All great examples of how to put this grant to work.
Not ready for a big renovation to your building? No problem! We support small projects such as building painting and sign renewal. The guidelines and application form are now available to download. Annual applications are typically reviewed in May, and if funds are unspent, are reviewed on a first come, first served basis after that.

Downtown Security Grant
Businesses that wish to enhance security of their premises through environmental design, security cameras, lighting etc., can apply to the TDIA for a matching grant of up to $500. This grant stream is open and ongoing, until our budget of $2,500 is expended. Download your application package and email to us.
