Landscaping Improvements Grant

The TDIA Landscaping Improvements Grant supports businesses and property owners in improving the exterior appearance of commercial properties within the TDIA downtown area.

 

This grant is intended to encourage small-scale beautification projects that contribute to a more welcoming, vibrant, and attractive downtown. Eligible projects may include hanging baskets, planters, window boxes, pathway enhancements, and decorative lighting.

Approved applicants may receive a matching grant of up to $1,000, subject to available program funding.

Program Terms

Eligible Expenses

  • Hanging baskets, pots, planters, and window boxes

  • Pathway and entrance enhancements

  • Decorative exterior lighting

  • Flowers, greenery, soil, and related landscaping materials

Grant Term

  • Matching grant of up to $1,000 per applicant

  • Funding is limited and applications remain open until the program budget is fully allocated

  • Projects must support visible exterior beautification within the TDIA area

  • Applications are subject to TDIA Board review and approval

If you are applying as a tenant, you must include a completed Property Owner Consent Form with your application.

This form confirms that the property owner is aware of and approves the proposed improvements to the premises.

  2. I am responsible for obtaining any required permits, approvals, inspections, and contractors

  3. I grant TDIA and the City of Terrace permission to use project photos for reporting and promotional purposes

  4. I agree not to hold TDIA or the City of Terrace liable for disputes arising from this project.

  5. I understand that project inspections may be required to confirm the work matches the approved application

  6. I understand that submission of this application does not guarantee funding

  7. I understand that application materials become part of TDIA’s program records.
